HEALTH BOARD WEEK 2020

The Committee visited Marurui Health Centre and also visited some needy people  in the neighbourhood and gave gifts/had fellowship as seen in the picture below:

 

Gateway Health Board in Conjunction with the Nairobi Hospital will hold a Health Talk in Kiswahili Service on 23.02.2020 and will also hold a Medical Checkup as indicated in the flier:

Health Board held a free community clinic for residents of Marurui and sorroundings on 27.07.2019. 

Health Board invited NHIF Team to register and sensitize members on the Insurance Fund on 10.03.2019, Mr. Obima gave a talk to the congregants; pics as follows:

 

 

 

They have held meetings regularly and since then the group has held various clinics for the members especially checkups on Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol levels at least every quarter of the year. They purchased a glucometer and uric acid machine to aid them in diagnosing members.

Over the years they have invited specialists for Eyes and Dental to see our members. Members also got free toothpaste & toothbrushes from one of our members who is a dental doctor. Since then they invite Doctors to screen members (men & women) for cervical & prostrate cancers and screen for other conditions such as BP, Diabetes etc.

They also started an aerobics gym here in the church compound as a way of members to keep fit. Members met on Friday evenings for exercise. They also visited homes for Teenage Mothers in Marurui and donated foodstuff & held fellowships.

 In 2015 in conjuction with KIkuyu Eye Hospital they held a one day clinic for the members and community.

They also invite professionals to speak to congregants on various issues affecting their health.
