3. VISITED MARURUI PRIMARY SCHOOL AND GAVE CLOTHES & SHOES TO NEEDY STUDENTS
The Church Education Committee was formed in the PCEA in 1992. In the GAC of 1998 at PCEA Tambaya in Mukurweini Presbytery it was renamed as Christian Education Committee. PCEA Gateway Christian Education Committee was inaugurated on October 2004.
Vision : To have a society that has children and adults who are God fearing and uphold the Christian values of love, moral integrity, self-control and respect.
Mission : We endeavor to make disciples by instilling knowledge through education for life.
Motto : Pursue knowledge for spiritual growth to avoid destruction
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE ORGANISED A SENIOR CITIZENS FELLOWSHIP & LUNCH ON 29.01.20
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION WEEK ACTIVITIES 2019.
1. Visiting Marurui Thome Police Post and Area Chief.
2. Invited a Lawyer to talk on new inheritance law during Sunday service.
3. Enjoying Lunch together after the service.
There also co-opted members from the other church groups. During its first meeting their first order of business was procurement of Golden Bells, Tenzi za Rohoni and Nyimbo cia Kuinira Ngai (New).
They also started a mobile library where members could borrow books in 2005. They held their first Christian Education Week and Sunday in March of 2005 which was a huge success especially on organization and full participation of its members.
The group agreed to be meeting every 2nd Sunday of the month after Sunday service with the first meeting scheduled for 15th May 2005. They agreed that the Education Committee would do the following activities:
