The main aim/objective of the fellowship is to bring together all ladies (girls and women) of PCEA in giving of themselves, their time and resources in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our 2017/2018 parish officials are as follows:
PCEA Gateway Womans Guild numbers as at September 2019 stands at 209 full members plus those waiting to receive badge, and 35 followers.
In 2018 we held a commissioning in which 24 members received headscarves and 27 commissioned.
JUNE 2016 COMMISSIONING
In this regard, Woman's Guild members work hand in hand with other church groups. Their work mainly is:
Gateway Woman's Guild was inaugurated on 5/12/2004. Our initial membership stood at 14; now in 2016 we have 119 full members, 32 members without badges, two of whom are girls and 40 followers and two (2) very loyal friends. We have 3 Zones in our group with 5 leaders in each.
We meet every Tuesday for Zonal Fellowships in homes but every last Tuesday of the month we meet in the church. We also hold Parish Fellowship every 3rd Sunday of the month after services.
Our projects include equipping the kitchen which has been done very well. We have continued maintaining the beauty of the church by putting flowers every week. Our other project was of buying tents and chairs. Tents were purchased a while back in 2004 and have continued to be rented at a fee. They also bought plastic chairs to rent out at a fee.
We also liase with the PCMF in conducting Rites of Passage Experiences for our Std. 8 leavers.
